Stiga RM has inaugurated a Euro 34 million wood wool cement board factory in Tukums, Latvia, focusing on automation and AI. The facility aims to produce over 4.5 million square meters of Sonablock panels annually, enhancing Latvia's export value significantly.

Stiga RM's new factory in Tukums represents an investment of Euro 34 million and is equipped with advanced automation, robotics, and AI technologies. The facility is designed to manufacture over 4.5 million square meters of Sonablock acoustic panels each year, with 98% of production targeted for export, expected to increase Latvia's export value by more than Euro 55 million annually.
Key export markets include Scandinavia, the Benelux countries, and Central Europe. The establishment of this factory may set a precedent for technological advancements in the wood industry, but reliance on international markets poses risks should demand fluctuate.
