Summit Systems and Sumitomo Demag UK Collaborate to Enhance Turnkey Technology for Polymer Processors in Ireland
Summit Systems and Sumitomo (SHI) Demag UK have formed a partnership to expand turnkey technology options for polymer processors in Ireland, aiming to enhance choice and value in the market. This alliance will address the growing need for integrated automation and big-data support in an industry valued at over €2.1 billion annually.
Key figures from both companies, including Kris Thacker and Nick McComb, will oversee the initiative, which includes training at First Polymer Training Skillnet in Athlone and direct access to technical expertise. An IntElect 75/420/250, equipped with Summit Systems' Maguire ULTRA dryer, was installed at the training center, and further installations are planned for Spring to improve energy efficiency and production capabilities.
