Swindon Roadworks by Thames Water and Scottish & Southern Electric Cause Delays Through June 2023
Multiple roadworks in Swindon, involving Thames Water and Scottish & Southern Electric, will cause delays. Swanborough Lane is closed until June 23 for a water main replacement. Goor Lane will close from May 21 to 27 for cable installation by BT Openreach. Watchfield Road is closed until May 8 for cable work. Shrivenham Road will have traffic lights from March 30 to April 4 for valve chamber realignment. Sevenhampton Lane will see closures from March 30 to April 1 and again from April 8 to 9 for trial hole digging and cable installation.

Swindon will experience significant roadworks in the coming months due to utility companies carrying out installations and alignments. Swanborough Lane is closed until June 23 for a Thames Water water main replacement.
Goor Lane will be closed from May 21 to 27 as BT Openreach installs a new cable. Watchfield Road has been closed since March 11 and will remain so until May 8 for cable installation by Scottish & Southern Electric.
Thames Water will also use traffic lights on Shrivenham Road from March 30 to April 4 for valve chamber realignment. Sevenhampton Lane will close from March 30 to April 1 for a trial hole and will have additional closure from April 8 to 9 for BT Openreach cable installation.
