Switchee has been awarded £468,000 from the BEIS for the Heat Pump Ready Programme to scale heat pump deployment in social housing. This funding is part of the £1 billion Net Zero Innovation Portfolio aimed at clean energy commercialization.

Switchee, in partnership with Leeds Beckett University and Daikin UK, will develop tools to improve awareness and acceptance of heat pumps. The initiative addresses barriers such as installation costs and user distrust. The 18-month project will conduct field trials in 100 homes, with evaluations provided by Leeds Beckett University, to assess the impact of the solutions developed.
