Systra Selected by NHSRCL for Consulting on India's First High-Speed Rail Line Mumbai-Ahmedabad
Systra was selected by the National High Speed Rail Corporation (NHSRCL) to consult on the IT deployment for India's first high-speed rail line from Mumbai to Ahmedabad. The project, in partnership with DB Engineering & Consulting, includes monitoring the installation of signaling, telecommunications, ticketing, and real-time control systems provided by DRA Infracon and Siemens. The 508 km line will reduce travel time from 6 hours to 2 hours and 7 minutes, with operations expected to start in 2029, and partial operations between Surat and Bilimora anticipated by August 2027.

Systra has been chosen by the National High Speed Rail Corporation (NHSRCL) to act as a consultant for the IT systems deployment for India's first high-speed rail line connecting Mumbai and Ahmedabad. This partnership with DB Engineering & Consulting will oversee the installation of signaling, telecommunications, and ticketing systems, as well as real-time control systems (SCADA) provided by DRA Infracon and Siemens.
The 508 km line aims to cut travel time from 6 hours to 2 hours and 7 minutes, with a maximum speed of 320 km/h. Construction began in 2017, with full operations expected by 2029 and a section between Surat and Bilimora opening in August 2027.
