TCG Crest University Plans Global Expansion with Bases in UK, Japan, and US
TCG Crest University, backed by The Chatterjee Group, announced plans for global expansion with new bases in the UK, Japan, and the US, while increasing its presence across India. The university intends to launch in the UK by 2026, focusing initially on artificial intelligence for healthcare, and later expanding into areas like quantum technologies.
TCG Crest aims to grow its PhD scholars from 150 to 1,000. Current research areas include affordable batteries, quantum computing, food and agriculture, and AI. The UK operations will utilize a tripartite funding model with contributions from TCG, philanthropists, and government institutions.
In India, the university plans to establish centers beyond eastern India. Expansion will be organic and talent-driven, with specialized master's programs starting in 2026, focusing on fields like neuroscience.
