TCMA Advances Thailand's Cement Industry Decarbonisation Towards Net Zero 2050
The Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) is leading a decarbonisation initiative in Thailand's cement industry, aiming for Net Zero by 2050. This project, supported by the UNIDO and the Canadian government, focuses on technology adoption and green investment. Key advancements include the Mobile Carbon Capture Unit (MCCU) pilot program, which will validate performance at TCMA member plants. The project aims to enhance national competitiveness and promote low-carbon technologies, with TCMA fostering regional collaboration through the ASEAN Federation of Cement Manufacturers.

The Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) is spearheading a project to decarbonise Thailand's cement and concrete industry, targeting Net Zero by 2050. This initiative, supported by UNIDO and the Canadian government with CAD 8 million funding, emphasizes collaboration among government, industry, and international partners.
A significant component is the Mobile Carbon Capture Unit (MCCU) from CETRI, Canada, which will be piloted at TCMA member cement plants starting June. The project aims to enhance investor confidence, promote low-carbon technologies, and strengthen regional collaboration through the ASEAN Federation of Cement Manufacturers.
