Teledyne FLIR OEM Selected for U.S. Army's DUTCH Initiative to Enhance Thermal Imaging Technology
Teledyne FLIR OEM has been chosen to advance next-generation uncooled thermal imaging under the U.S. Army's DUTCH initiative. This effort is crucial for modernizing defense capabilities and strengthening the domestic thermal imaging supply chain.

Teledyne FLIR OEM will develop uncooled thermal imaging technologies as part of the U.S. Army's Delivering Unmatched Thermal Capability Hastened (DUTCH) initiative, aimed at enhancing infrared sensing for defense applications.
The program focuses on improving sensor performance while minimizing size, weight, power, and cost (SWaP-C), with an emphasis on high-volume production for future military needs. Applications include uncrewed aerial systems, loitering munitions, and thermal binoculars.
This initiative supports U.S. Department of War priorities for secure supply chains and domestic manufacturing in mission-critical technologies. Successful execution could enable Teledyne to secure large-scale production contracts, positioning it as a key supplier in the expanding market for unmanned defense systems.
