Tenders Open for Rahan Flood Relief Scheme Consultancy
Tenders are now open for consultancy services related to the Rahan flood relief scheme, with an estimated contract value of €220,000. This project aims to protect properties and infrastructure from flooding along the River Clodiagh.

The Office of Public Works (OPW) is inviting tenders for engineering and environmental consultancy services for a flood relief scheme in Tullybeg, Rahan. The project will include the construction of approximately 430 metres of reinforced concrete flood defence wall along the riverbank and is designed to protect residential properties and the local wastewater treatment facility.
The estimated contract value is €220,000, covering detailed design, hydrological modelling, and environmental assessments. The contract duration is expected to be 36 months, with tenders opening on September 18. The flood defence works will be delivered by OPW, requiring adherence to various environmental regulations, including those related to local wildlife and the preservation of the Rahan monastic complex.
