Truckee Donner PUD Board Approves 2026 Water System Capital Projects and Electric Reliability Metrics
The Truckee Donner Public Utility District Board approved significant capital investments in the water system for 2026, including pipeline replacements and a new hydropneumatic pump station. Additionally, a Power Cost Adjustment credit for electric customers will reduce bills slightly. The board also plans to track electric reliability metrics starting in 2026.

The Truckee Donner Public Utility District (TDPUD) Board approved capital investments for 2026, focusing on the water system. Major projects include replacing 2,600 feet of water main, constructing a pipeline to connect separate water systems, and upgrading the Martiswoods hydropneumatic pump station.
The board also recognized the need for pipeline rehabilitation and water storage tank maintenance. Starting in 2026, TDPUD will track electric reliability metrics SAIFI, SAIDI, and CAIDI. A Power Cost Adjustment credit will lower electric bills for customers by $0.07 monthly from March to May 2026. Dan Wilkins was honored for his service at the January board meeting.
