Turboden to Supply Centrifugal MVR System to Co.Pro.B. - Italia Zuccheri
Turboden S.p.A. has secured a contract to provide a centrifugal Mechanical Vapour Recompressor system to Co.Pro.B. - Italia Zuccheri in Italy. This project aims to enhance energy efficiency by reusing steam, thereby reducing natural gas consumption and improving overall process efficiency.

Turboden S.p.A. will supply a centrifugal Mechanical Vapour Recompressor (MVR) to Co.Pro.B. - Italia Zuccheri, which will replace the existing gas-fired boiler system used for producing steam in sugar juice evaporation. The MVR will recover low-pressure steam and upgrade it from 0.38 bar(a) and 80°C to 1.8 bar(a) and 117°C, achieving a total output of 22 tonnes per hour.
This installation will be compact to fit within existing dimensional constraints and will be delivered preassembled to ease integration. The adoption of this technology underscores Turboden's role in decarbonizing industrial processes and enhancing energy efficiency in high-temperature steam production. The shift to MVR technology may also lead to significant long-term operational savings for Co.Pro.B.
