TÜV AUSTRIA and the Università di Bologna have successfully completed a joint PhD research collaboration in Structural Health Monitoring. Over three years, the partnership focused on innovative monitoring methods, resulting in three key projects: requalification of composite pressure vessels, a vibration-based methodology for bridge damage detection, and corrosion monitoring in metallic vessels using acoustic emission.

The collaboration emphasized continuous exchange between academic teams and industry experts, enhancing operational safety and predictive maintenance solutions.
