TÜV SÜD Accredited as Designated Operational Entity under Paris Agreement Article 6.4

CLIMATE POLICY, REGULATION & CARBON MARKETS

TÜV SÜD has received accreditation as a Designated Operational Entity (DOE) under Article 6.4 of the Paris Agreement. This allows TÜV SÜD to conduct validation and verification for carbon crediting, supporting countries' Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).

The organization is authorized for 14 scopes within the Article 6.4 mechanism, providing independent services to project developers, governments, and private sector participants in the carbon market. TÜV SÜD will assist in the transition from the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) to Article 6.4, emphasizing environmental integrity and transparency, while unlocking financial support for developing countries through carbon credit transfers.
