UBE Corporation has made a strategic investment in Immaterial Ltd., an early-stage climate technology startup in the UK, as part of its A2 funding round extension. This investment aims to advance Immaterial's monolithic Metal-Organic Frameworks (m-MOFs) for carbon dioxide capture, which promise reduced capital and operational expenditures.
The technology targets hard-to-abate sectors like cement, steel, and chemicals, facilitating cost-effective decarbonization.
