UFO Drive Transforms from Car Rental to Global Mobility Platform with UFO Fleet
UFO Drive, a Luxembourg-based mobility company, has shifted from a niche electric car rental service to a global mobility technology platform. Co-founders Aidan McClean and Renaud Marquet identified a growth opportunity in technology, investing over $25 million in a cloud-native system, UFO Fleet, which serves nearly a million users and has processed $300 million in transactions.
The platform manages various mobility services, with 80-85% of UFO Drive's income now derived from it, making the company profitable with a lean team. The upcoming UFO Fleet AI, aimed at smaller fleet operators, will replace spreadsheets with automation.
North America is currently its largest market, while plans to enter Asia, starting with Japan, are underway. Strategic partnerships with Hertz and Toyota enable global scaling. UFO Drive was recognized by Frost & Sullivan as a 2025 European New Mobility and Automotive Technology Innovation Leader.
