Lord Vallance highlighted Oxford North as a key innovation district during his visit, supporting government initiatives for the Oxford-Cambridge corridor. The site, covering 64 acres, has secured £1.2bn in investments from Thomas White Oxford, Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, and Stanhope.
Plans include the construction of almost one million sq ft of office and advanced laboratory space, catering to startups, spinouts, and established global firms. Vallance advocates for this hub as vital for UK leadership in quantum computing and life sciences.
