Undersea Rescue Command Completes Manned Dive Off San Diego

The Undersea Rescue Command (URC) successfully completed a controlled manned dive evolution off the coast of San Diego on March 4, 2026. The exercise involved the Launch and Recovery System (LARS) returning the pressurized rescue module (PRM-1) Falcon aboard the Hornbeck Offshore Services ship Mauser. URC, located in San Diego, California, comprises active duty and Reserve Component Sailors, as well as operations and maintenance contractors, and is responsible for overseeing the Submarine Rescue Diving and Recompression System (SRDRS) and Sibitzky Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV).
