Unisoc Launches V527 5G RedCap Chipset for Industrial IoT Applications
Unisoc has introduced the V527 5G RedCap chipset aimed at industrial IoT applications, enhancing performance and power efficiency. It supports Sub-6 GHz spectrum, offering peak speeds of 226 Mbps downlink and 120 Mbps uplink. The platform features 5G slicing, time-sensitive networking, and supports mobility up to 500 km/h and long-range communication up to 100 km. Designed for extreme temperatures, it integrates advanced security features and aims to facilitate the deployment of 5G RedCap in various industrial sectors.

Unisoc has launched the V527 5G RedCap chipset for industrial Internet of Things applications, designed to optimize performance, power efficiency, and security. The chipset adheres to the 3GPP Release 17 standard and operates on global Sub-6 GHz spectrum, including Band 59, with peak downlink speeds of 226 Mbps and uplink speeds of 120 Mbps.
It supports features such as 5G slicing and ultra-reliable low-latency communications. The V527 can maintain device mobility at speeds up to 500 km/h and covers distances of up to 100 km. The chipset operates in extreme temperatures from -40°C to 85°C and includes advanced security features. Unisoc is collaborating with partners to promote 5G RedCap adoption across various industries.
