Uzbekistan and Japan Explore Enhanced Geological Collaboration
Uzbekistan and Japanese firms ITOCHU and JOGMEC are focusing on accelerating geological exploration projects through investment. Discussions highlighted the introduction of new technologies aimed at improving exploration efficiency and expanding investment in Uzbekistan's mining sector.

Uzbekistan's Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology engaged with ITOCHU and JOGMEC to explore opportunities for enhancing ongoing geological exploration projects. The Japanese firms proposed methods to boost exploration efficiency and investment in Uzbekistan's mining sector.
In a separate initiative, the Hokim of Samarkand, Adiz Boboev, discussed economic cooperation with Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe, emphasizing investment potential in Samarkand, which hosts around 700 foreign enterprises. Key areas for collaboration include agro-industrial clusters, food processing, and industrial automation. Both parties aim to implement joint investment programs to strengthen economic ties.
