Vadnagar Skills Institute Trains 201 Trainees for Infrastructure Projects
The Industrial Construction Skills Training Institute (ICSTI) has successfully trained 201 individuals in job-related skills for major infrastructure projects. This initiative is essential for meeting the demand for skilled labor in large-scale construction and hydrocarbon projects.

The Industrial Construction Skills Training Institute (ICSTI) trained 201 individuals through two pilot batches, focusing on practical training for infrastructure projects. Trainees completed courses of 45, 60, and 90 days and are currently employed on significant projects such as the Ahmedabad-Mumbai high-speed rail corridor and the Dholera semiconductor facility, earning stipends between Rs 18,000 and Rs 20,000 per month.
The curriculum, aligned with UK standards, offers structured skill levels and post-training placements under various schemes for up to 33 months. Facilities include hostels and workshops for hands-on practice. The initiative aims to fill the skilled labor gap in the industry, enabling trainees to qualify for supervisory roles and potential international placements.
