INDUSTRIAL IOT
Vaeridion has officially opened a battery production plant at the Oberpfaffenhofen airport in Germany, a site formerly operated by Lilium. The company leased the space and acquired equipment in September 2023.
Production is set to commence this quarter, targeting a capacity of 400 battery packs annually. The new facility will facilitate the transition from handmade to industrialized battery packs, enhancing quality and output through automation.
Vaeridion aims to support testing for its Microliner aircraft, with the first prototypes expected in early 2030. The company is also maintaining its headquarters in Munich.
