Valmet Enhances Gren Tartu's District Heating Capacity in Estonia
Valmet's delivery of a flue gas condenser and heat pumps to Gren Tartu will increase district heating capacity by over 10 MW. This project emphasizes the importance of heat recovery solutions for improving energy efficiency and reducing emissions.

Valmet has secured an order from Gren Tartu for a flue gas condenser and heat pumps aimed at enhancing the Tartu biomass heat and power plant's capacity. The integration of these systems will add more than 10 MW of heat to the local district heating network, enabling greater production with reduced fuel usage.
This initiative is part of Valmet's orders for Q2 2026, although order value specifics remain undisclosed. The technology significantly boosts energy efficiency and minimizes emissions by recovering low-temperature heat from flue gases. Such advancements contribute to sustainability and operational reliability in district heating systems.
