Vancouver City Council Considers Pilot Project with Serve Robotics for Delivery Robots
Vancouver's city council is set to vote on a pilot project with Serve Robotics to test automated delivery systems. The initiative aims to evaluate the feasibility and safety of deploying these robots in downtown and Kitsilano areas.

Vancouver's city council will decide on a motion to collaborate with Serve Robotics on a six-month pilot project for automated delivery robots. The proposal, introduced by Councillor Mike Klassen, seeks to assess operational and regulatory aspects of deploying these systems in the downtown peninsula and Kitsilano.
The pilot would require amendments to existing street vending bylaws and provincial authorization under Bill 23. Serve Robotics, already established in major U.S. cities, aims to enhance public safety and community engagement while testing this technology. If approved, robots could be operational by fall.
