Vidourle Riverbanks Redevelopment Project Initiated by Nîmes Municipality
The Nîmes municipality is implementing a redevelopment project along the Vidourle riverbanks, costing €2.90 million, with a completion target set for Q1 2027. This initiative aims to connect urban spaces with natural environments, enhancing both community engagement and ecological balance.

Nîmes plans to redevelop the Vidourle riverbanks, with a total project cost of €2.90 million, expecting completion by the first quarter of 2027. Funding includes 50% from various sources, such as the State, Region, and the European Union.
The project will transform the area starting from the Hôtel des Trois Rois, featuring new green spaces, an open hall in the former gymnasium, and multifunctional areas like a pump-track and picnic spots. Additionally, retention basins will manage rainwater sustainably, and approximately 100 trees will be planted. This effort is intended to reconcile the urban environment with the natural landscape, promoting improved quality of life.
