Virgin Galactic Resumes Ticket Sales for Suborbital Flights at $750,000 Each
Virgin Galactic has restarted ticket sales for its suborbital flights after a two-year hiatus, pricing each ticket at $750,000. The company plans to offer 50 additional seats for its SpaceShip flights by late 2026 or early 2027, marking a significant move in the space tourism industry amid previous operational delays and challenges.

Virgin Galactic will sell 50 tickets for suborbital flights at $750,000 each, with plans to launch by late 2026 or early 2027. CEO Michael Colglazier announced during a call with investors that the flights will cater to the existing community of over 650 founding astronauts.
Despite being a 25-year-old sector, the number of passengers flown remains low. The company has faced numerous delays, including mechanical issues and a fatal accident in 2014. Alongside Virgin Galactic, Jeff Bezos's Blue Origin has suspended its tourist flights, leaving Virgin Galactic as the only major player currently offering suborbital trips for sightseeing. Colglazier indicated that ticket prices may increase after the initial sales conclude.
