Viva Launches Armenia's First 5G+ Network Across Major Regions
Viva has launched Armenia's first 5G+ network in Yerevan and six regions, enhancing digital connectivity and services. The expansion aims for nationwide coverage by year-end, significantly impacting the digital economy and operational efficiency across sectors.

Viva has initiated Armenia's first 5G+ network in Yerevan and the regions of Shirak, Lori, Tavush, Gegharkunik, Kotayk, and Aragatsotn, with plans for nationwide coverage by the end of 2026. The company has doubled its radio spectrum resources through a significant investment in spectrum acquisition, essential for deploying a standalone 5G+ network.
This new technology supports advanced applications in AI, IoT, and immersive experiences. Key sectors expected to benefit include industrial robotics, smart factories, and predictive maintenance. The deployment involved collaboration with Nokia and Ericsson, enhancing service quality across diverse terrains. 5G+ is projected to transform telecommunications business models, shifting operators from connectivity providers to digital service platforms.
