Vizgard Advances Drone Safety Technology with UKDI Support
Vizgard has leveraged UKDI funding to enhance drone operation automation, expanding from 5 to 20 employees. Their platform, FortifAI, now processes over 100 camera streams, improving airspace monitoring capabilities for police and military applications.

Vizgard, a London-based SME, has grown to a 20-person company with the support of UK Defence Innovation (UKDI). The company developed FortifAI, a visual AI system that automates drone operations, allowing for real-time tracking and threat identification across multiple visual streams.
Initially funded by UKDI, the platform now handles over 100 concurrent streams and has applications in UK policing and military operations. In early 2025, Vizgard secured £1.5 million in venture capital for their new machine learning platform, UnifAI.
They are also part of NATO DIANA's 2026 cohort and are exporting technology for testing with US Marines. This trajectory highlights the importance of sustained funding and collaboration in advancing defense technologies.
