Volt Energy Launches Zero-Cost Solar Model for India's MSMEs
Volt Energy, founded in 2023, is transforming energy access for India's micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by installing rooftop solar systems at no upfront cost. Customers pay for generated electricity, typically at rates lower than grid tariffs, with ownership transferred after five years. This model aims to overcome financing barriers for MSMEs and aligns the company's revenue with system performance. Volt Energy plans to serve 10,000 MSME customers by 2030, while also exploring opportunities in battery storage and electric mobility.

Volt Energy, established in 2023 by Rishabh Dev Bajaj and Surbhi Bajaj, is addressing the high upfront costs of solar energy for India's MSMEs by offering a zero-investment solar model.
