Vossloh to Supply Concrete Sleepers to Bane NOR in Norway for Sustainable Rail Infrastructure
Vossloh has signed a framework agreement with Bane NOR to supply concrete sleepers to Norwegian railways over eight years, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by over 40% through advanced cement production. The initial order value is approximately €50 million for two years, with the potential for up to three million sleepers. Sateba Norway, a Vossloh subsidiary, manufactures the sleepers using carbon capture technology. Vossloh aims to support Bane NOR's climate goals while ensuring quality and sustainability.

Vossloh will supply concrete sleepers to Bane NOR, Norway's railway infrastructure operator, under an eight-year framework agreement. The initial contract, valued at around €50 million for the first two years, includes the delivery of up to three million sleepers.
The sleepers are produced using cement from Heidelberg Materials with carbon capture technology, reducing emissions by over 40% compared to previous methods. Vossloh acquired Sateba, the manufacturer, on October 1, 2025. The partnership emphasizes sustainability and quality in supporting Bane NOR's climate goals.
