Walmart and JD.com Rise in Gartner's Supply Chain Top 25 Rankings

Walmart has climbed to 3rd place in Gartner's Supply Chain Top 25, improving by ten positions, while JD.com is now ranked 16th, up six spots. The report highlights Walmart's use of automated logistics, with 60% of its U.S. stores receiving goods from automated distribution centers, and a significant portion of e-commerce volume processed through automated systems.
JD.com's ascent is attributed to its vertically integrated supply chain and robust automation, enhancing its resilience. Siemens is now the only German company in the Top 25, ranking 13th after gaining two positions.
Notably, BMW has dropped out, alongside other companies like PepsiCo and Heineken. New entrants include TSMC and Johnson Controls, with Toyota making a significant debut. The
