Washington State Trade Mission to Visit India Following Seattle Business Forum
The Indian Consulate in Seattle recently hosted the Invest India Business Forum, showcasing investment opportunities in sectors like AI and healthcare, ahead of Washington State's major trade mission to India scheduled for January 28 to February 7. The event featured industry expert presentations and highlighted products such as Indian pomegranates, which have gained market access in the US. Additionally, it underscored the establishment of Providence's Global Capability Center in Hyderabad, expected to create over 2,000 jobs in AI-enabled healthcare technology.

The Indian Consulate in Seattle hosted the Invest India Business Forum, highlighting investment opportunities in sectors such as AI, ag-tech, quantum computing, and healthcare. This event precedes Washington State's largest trade mission to India from January 28 to February 7, with over 30 members including executives from Microsoft, Amazon, and Boeing.
The forum featured presentations from industry experts and showcased Indian products, including the renowned 'Bhagwa' pomegranates. The demand for Indian pomegranates has risen since the US granted market access in 2023.
The forum also emphasized strengthening economic ties and highlighted Providence's new Global Capability Center in Hyderabad, which will create over 2,000 jobs focusing on AI-enabled healthcare technology. The initiative aims to enhance trade, tourism, and technology linkages between the US Pacific Northwest and India.
