Wichita State University Launches Advanced Manufacturing Hub
Wichita State University's new Hub for Advanced Manufacturing and Research aims to enhance collaboration between industry and government. The facility is designed to accelerate innovation in the aerospace, defense, and manufacturing sectors.

Wichita State University has inaugurated its Hub for Advanced Manufacturing and Research (HAMR), a 170,000-square-foot facility. It aims to foster collaboration in applied research and advanced technologies, focusing on areas such as digital engineering, precision machining, and smart automation.
The hub comprises six specialized zones: The Digital Twin, Sustainment & Digital Transformation, Advanced Manufacturing & Materials Research, Process Automation, The Digital Factory, and Customer Engagement. Funded by the U.S. Economic Development Administration and Wichita State, HAMR is expected to enhance U.S. manufacturing competitiveness and address future industry challenges.
