Yinson Production has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Himile Heavy Industries to evaluate the fabrication and costs of proprietary LCO₂ tanks at Himile's facility in Rushan, China. This MOU aligns with the LCO₂ tank FEED program, focusing on manufacturability, cost, and delivery timelines crucial for Yinson's Floating Storage and Injection Unit (FSIU) and carbon capture initiatives.

The project will include developing a robotic production facility and cost estimates for tank fabrication. Provaris will design robotic cells and laser-welding equipment, while Himile will create design packages for facility upgrades and cost estimates for tank fabrication. The collaboration aims to enable scalable industrial production of LCO₂ tanks to meet growing maritime and offshore market demands.
