Yinson Production has officially commenced operations of its Agogo floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel following the issuance of the Provisional Operational Readiness Certificate (PORC) on August 12, 2025. The commencement marks the start of a 15-year lease and operate contract valued at over $5 billion with Azule Energy, Angola's largest independent oil and gas producer, a joint venture between BP and Eni.

The Agogo FPSO achieved first oil production on July 29, 2025, four months ahead of schedule, and just 29 months post contract award. With a production capacity of 120,000 barrels of oil per day and a storage capacity of 1.6 million barrels, the FPSO is deployed to the Agogo Integrated West Hub Development Project in Block 15/06 offshore Angola. Following its construction in Shanghai, the vessel arrived in Angola in May 2025 and completed its mooring hook-up by June.

Yinson has emphasized the Agogo FPSO's cutting-edge design, which includes a suite of emissions-reducing technologies, such as a closed flare system and carbon capture technology, positioning it as the world's first FPSO equipped with such capabilities. This advancement aligns with Yinsonás commitment to sustainable operations.

The successful launch of Agogo FPSO significantly enhances Yinson's operational portfolio, with approximately 97% of its contracted revenue backlog of $19 billion now sourced from operational assets. Yinson CEO Flemming Guiducci Gránnegaard highlighted this achievement as a testament to the company's ability to deliver complex projects efficiently, underscoring the strategic importance of their expansion into Africa alongside Azule Energy.
