Zacch Adedeji Transforms Nigeria's Revenue Landscape Amid Major Reforms
Zacch Adedeji's leadership at the Nigeria Revenue Service has resulted in significant revenue increases and modernization efforts. The reforms are critical for enhancing tax compliance and ensuring sustainable economic growth in Nigeria.

Since assuming leadership of the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) in September 2023, Zacch Adedeji has transformed revenue collection, achieving ₦12.36 trillion in 2023 and ₦21.7 trillion in 2024. This success culminated in a historic revenue milestone of ₦28.2 trillion in 2025, with ambitious targets set for ₦40.7 trillion in 2026.
Adedeji implemented advanced automation and digital tools, such as the TaxPro-Max platform and the Rev360 system, enhancing efficiency and compliance. Legislative reforms, including the Nigeria Tax Act 2025, streamlined tax laws and exempted low-income earners from personal income tax.
The opening of a new NRS headquarters symbolizes this transformation. Adedeji's strategies aim to shift the perception of tax collection and support Nigeria's economic self-sufficiency.
