1462 kg Gold Reserves Discovered in Mayurbhanj, Odisha
Gold reserves of 1462 kg have been discovered in Mayurbhanj district, Odisha, as reported by state minister Bibhuti Bhusan Jena. The Geological Survey of India found these deposits during a survey in the Bangiriposhi assembly constituency, along with copper reserves of 17.06 million tons. This follows earlier discoveries of approximately 1,996 kg of gold in Deogarh and Keonjhar districts.

A gold reserve of 1462 kg has been discovered in Mayurbhanj district, Odisha, according to state minister Bibhuti Bhusan Jena. The Geological Survey of India conducted the survey in the Bangiriposhi assembly constituency.
The findings include 1462.73 kg of gold and 17.06 million tons of copper in the Madanashi-Kanjia area. Previously, 1,996 kg of gold was reported in Deogarh and Keonjhar districts, with specific deposits of 1,685 kg in Adash and 311.07 kg in Gopur. G2-level exploration has been completed in all three mineral blocks.
