$2 Billion DC Blox Data Center Proposal in Indianapolis Under Discussion
DC Blox's proposed $2 billion data center in Indianapolis would consist of three buildings across two phases. The project aims to create 600 construction jobs but only 40 permanent positions, raising concerns among local residents about environmental impacts.

DC Blox proposes a $2 billion data center on South Kitley Avenue, spanning 150 acres and divided into two phases. The first phase includes an 80,000-square-foot building, while the second phase features two two-story buildings of 140,000 and 190,000 square feet, with construction set to last six years in total.
The project is expected to generate 600 construction jobs but only provide fewer than 40 permanent roles. Although the property is zoned for heavy industrial use, approval from the Metropolitan Development Committee is required. Concerns about environmental impacts, such as sound pollution and water quality, have been raised by residents, indicating possible community resistance.
