20MW Data Center Project Proposed in Nottinghamshire, UK
A 20MW data center is proposed at the former Eon office site in Nottinghamshire, utilizing a 1.3-hectare brownfield area. This development aims to enhance digital infrastructure in the Sherwood region to meet increasing commercial demands.

The proposed data center will be situated on a 1.3-hectare site at the former Eon offices in Annesley, featuring 20MW of IT capacity across 8,145 sqm, divided into four 5MW data halls. The site has been cleared after the demolition of the previous building, which was constructed around 2003.
A pre-application inquiry was submitted to Ashfield District Council last year, which found the proposal acceptable in principle. Additionally, Harworth Group is planning a data center on a former colliery site near Rainworth. The development reflects a trend in utilizing brownfield sites for technological advancements in the area.
