33KV Line Commissioned in Sircilla to Enhance Power Supply Reliability
A newly commissioned 3-km 33KV interlink line in Rajanna Sircilla is aimed at improving power supply stability and reducing outages. The initiative includes the addition of 13 substations and infrastructure enhancements valued at Rs 23 crore to support local power demand.

On Saturday, a 3-km 33KV interlink line was commissioned in Rajanna Sircilla district to enhance the reliability of power supply. This line will serve as an alternative to the existing 33/11KV Kothapally substation, aiming to minimize consumer outages.
The project is part of a broader effort where 13 new substations have been sanctioned to mitigate load challenges. Recent improvements include the installation of fault passage indicators and the stabilization of voltage through the segregation of 19 bunched breakers.
Additionally, the creation of assets valued at Rs 23 crore was achieved through over 2,000 work orders in the previous month. In agriculture, 902 new service connections were released, and 55 transformers were added, while 166 power loom services transitioned into a lower-cost category. The department is also providing subsidized connections for low-income households and covering the costs of service lines up to one kilometer.
