3D Modelling and Fabrication Package for DN250 Mild-Steel Pipework in the UK
A project requires a clash-free 3D model and fabrication package for DN250 traditional mild-steel pipes in the UK. The design includes insulation, flange specifications, maximum span details, and compliance with BS EN standards. The scope of work includes building pipework geometry, detailing supports, producing fabrication drawings, and supplying native files. Acceptance criteria ensure no clashes, proper support dimensions, and complete drawing sets for fabrication.

The project involves creating a 3D model and fabrication package for two DN250 mild-steel pipes, with a 273.1mm outer diameter, running through an existing service duct in the UK. Each pipe will be insulated with 50mm mineral-wool insulation and aluminium cladding, using PN16 flanges every 6m, and a maximum span between supports of 5m.
The design must comply with BS EN 13480 and BS EN 10216 standards. The deliverables include an RCP point-cloud for routing, detailed support designs, and annotated fabrication drawings, supplied in Revit or AutoCAD format. Acceptance criteria include no clashes within the point-cloud and complete drawing sets for fabrication.
