4iG Group to Establish State Data Center in Montenegro
Hungary's 4iG Group has been contracted to construct Montenegro's first state data center, a significant step in the country's digital infrastructure development. This initiative aligns with Montenegro's strategy to enhance its telecommunications capabilities and support law enforcement through advanced technology.

4iG Group has been selected by the Government of Montenegro to construct and operate a Tier III-certified state data center. The project includes a €54.25 million law enforcement development program, which will be implemented by 4iG Informatika Zrt., covering equipment installation, training, and ongoing support.
This partnership follows a memorandum of understanding signed in 2023 focusing on 5G network development. Montenegro's data center market is currently non-existent, with no active facilities reported, indicating significant growth potential in this sector. The involvement of 4iG may attract further investments and interest from other firms, such as NTT, previously noted for exploring similar opportunities.
