500MW Clean Air Solar Farm Planned Near Beverley by PS Renewables and Ørsted Onshore
The Clean Air Solar Farm project aims to generate 500MW, enough to power approximately 160,000 UK homes. As a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project, planning approval is anticipated in 2028, with operations starting by 2033.

PS Renewables and Ørsted Onshore are proposing a 500MW solar farm near Beverley, known as the Clean Air Solar Farm, previously the Kingfisher Solar Farm. This project spans two sites: one three miles north of Beverley and another southwest of the A1079, connecting to the Wanlass Beck substation.
The project is designated as a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project, meaning the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero will decide on its approval. A planning decision is expected in 2028, with operations projected to begin in 2033. Public consultations are scheduled for June 2026, reflecting community engagement in the planning process.
