Uisce Éireann is initiating a €5.9 million upgrade of the wastewater network in Wicklow town, with works starting June 8. The project will focus on the Bollarney area, installing 800 meters of new pipeline along the R750 from Bollarney Woods to Abbey Street.
Initial street works will begin on June 15 to minimize disruption for students during exams. A subsequent phase targeting Bollarney Pump Station is anticipated in 2027, pending planning approval, aiming to enhance wastewater capacity and infrastructure resilience.
