Lyon Métropole Habitat is set to invest over €66 million in the rehabilitation of 587 housing units in Bron-Parilly, with construction starting in October 2026 and lasting two years. This initiative, supported by multiple agencies, aims for improved energy performance and enhanced resident comfort while maintaining architectural identity.
The current facades will be replaced with prefabricated wood paneling to enhance thermal efficiency, and living spaces will see partial or complete renovations, including new bathrooms and kitchens. By 2032-2034, the goal is for 75% of the housing units in the area to be newly built or renovated, amid addressing social vulnerabilities with a poverty rate of 53%. The comprehensive redevelopment also includes the construction of 700 new diversified housing units and an economic activity boost, including a data center.
