€751,000 Water Network Upgrade Initiated in Osunillas, Mijas
Mijas Town Hall has commenced a €751,000 project to enhance the drinking water network in Osunillas, aiming for improved reliability and reduced leaks. The upgrade, expected to last five months, will replace outdated piping with ductile iron pipes, covering 1,958 square meters and including 130 water connections.

The upgrade to the drinking water network in Osunillas, Mijas, involves a €751,000 investment aimed at modernizing the system. Over five months, crews will work on several streets, including Puerto El Pino and Puerto de la Media Luna, replacing old fibre cement and high-density polyethylene pipes with new ductile iron pipes in various diameters.
The total area affected is 1,958 square meters, with 130 new water connections. Acosol is managing the project, funded by an infrastructure improvement levy from the local council. The upgrade is designed to reduce leaks and service disruptions, enhancing the community's water supply efficiency and quality. Temporary parking solutions are in place to minimize disruption during construction.
