₹8,175 Crore Lithium Battery Project to Enhance Andhra Pradesh's Clean Energy Sector
Andhra Pradesh is set to implement a lithium ion battery manufacturing project in Rambilli, with an investment of ₹8,175 crore. This initiative aims to create approximately 3,000 jobs and strengthen the region's industrial capabilities.

The lithium ion battery facility in Rambilli, Anakapalli district, will focus on the complete production process from battery cells to management systems. Expected to be completed by July 2027, the first phase will have a capacity of 20 gigawatt hours.
This project aligns with Andhra Pradesh's vision to enhance its industrial base and clean energy initiatives. The company involved has a global presence, exporting to over 30 countries, indicating a strategic expansion into energy storage solutions. The development is anticipated to bolster the local economy and support ancillary industries.
