89th AW Honors 316th CES Electricians for Lighting Upgrade
Col. Chris Robinson acknowledged three electricians from the 316th Civil Engineer Squadron for their role in a hangar lighting project on June 12, 2026. Their installation of high-efficiency fixtures enhanced safety and reduced maintenance demands.

On June 12, 2026, three members of the 316th Civil Engineer Squadron received commendations from Col. Chris Robinson, commander of the 89th Airlift Wing, for their successful lighting upgrade project. The initiative involved replacing outdated fixtures with high-efficiency technology, leading to improved safety and reliability for maintenance tasks.
The project also minimized long-term maintenance needs. The recognized personnel included Staff Sgt. Josef Richardson, Staff Sgt.
Louis Davis, Airman 1st Class Jehan Mungyeh, and Mr. Edward Smith. The 316th CES electrical shop is responsible for maintaining the power grid across the base, ensuring continuous operational capability.
