€9.2 Million Water Network Upgrades in Limassol
Limassol district allocates €9.2 million for water network projects to minimize water losses, enhancing operational efficiency.

A total of €9.2 million will be invested in water network projects in Limassol aimed at reducing water losses. The initiative will replace aging infrastructure over a distance of 100 kilometers, targeting areas with significant leakage issues.
The new pipeline routing will extend from Enaerios to the coastal road, incorporating major streets and the Garyllis riverbed. Funding is provided under the EU cohesion Thalia programme for 2021-2027. This project is expected to improve the financial and operational performance of the Limassol district organization and benefit local consumers. Enhanced water management could lead to long-term sustainability challenges if not properly maintained.
