SOLAR ENERGYENERGY STORAGE

ABB's Sasbach manufacturing site in Germany is implementing its Mission to Zero™ program, which aims to reduce operational emissions through renewable energy, electrification, and digital energy management. The site has achieved CO₂ savings of about 3,786 tons, with 2,700 tons from purchasing renewable electricity and 1,086 tons from on-site measures, including solar generation from 3,410 photovoltaic modules.

The site is also modernizing production with energy-efficient facilities and technologies. Future plans include battery storage and replacing gas heating with electric solutions. ABB's global Mission to Zero™ initiative aims to significantly cut emissions across its 37 participating sites.
