ABB Launches SACE Emax 3 Low-Voltage Circuit Breaker with Advanced Digital Features
ABB has launched the SACE Emax 3, a low-voltage circuit breaker featuring advanced digital capabilities, remote management, and certified cybersecurity, enabling upgrades without downtime. Designed for smart buildings and critical infrastructures, it offers retrocompatibility with Emax 2 and includes predictive maintenance and multi-protocol connectivity. The development, which took five years, addresses market component shortages while ensuring compliance with international standards.

ABB has introduced the SACE Emax 3, a low-voltage circuit breaker developed at its R&D center in Bergamo and produced in Frosinone. The device features digitalization capabilities, remote management, and certified cybersecurity, allowing for upgrades without system downtime or recertification.
It is retrocompatible with Emax 2, simplifying integration into existing systems. The SACE Emax 3 is available in four sizes, covering nominal currents from 250A to 6,300A, and includes predictive maintenance features, high-precision measurement, and multi-protocol connectivity.
Aimed at smart buildings and critical infrastructures such as data centers and hospitals, the product is designed to enhance operational continuity and energy management. The development process took five years, adapting to market component shortages while ensuring compliance with international standards.
