ABB Launches SACE Emax 3 Low-Voltage Circuit Breaker with Advanced Digital Features

DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE

ABB has introduced the SACE Emax 3, a low-voltage circuit breaker developed at its R&D center in Bergamo and produced in Frosinone. The device features digitalization capabilities, remote management, and certified cybersecurity, allowing for upgrades without system downtime or recertification.

It is retrocompatible with Emax 2, simplifying integration into existing systems. The SACE Emax 3 is available in four sizes, covering nominal currents from 250A to 6,300A, and includes predictive maintenance features, high-precision measurement, and multi-protocol connectivity.

Aimed at smart buildings and critical infrastructures such as data centers and hospitals, the product is designed to enhance operational continuity and energy management. The development process took five years, adapting to market component shortages while ensuring compliance with international standards.
